Hey Chris — a couple of minor CommandPost requests regarding the Vimeo comments functionality. No rush.
If two comments are left at the same timestamp, only the first makes it into FCP. It'd be better to concatenate the two comments into one marker, or place another marker a frame after the first. Whatever's easier/less likely to cause issues would be great.
Frame.io's version of this feature makes a compound clip containing a timecode, rather than a regular clip. That means it can be broken apart, and the markers then magically fall into place on the clips they're actually talking about. Because the CP function uses a regular clip, I have to use the blade tool to chop up the clip so that ripples don't cause the comments to be disconnected. Can the regular clip be changed for a compound clip, or is there another workflow I could use here? Here's what they do:
