Discord seems to be forcing slash commands and I have some bots I have made myself In c# which don't support slash commands currently was just wondering if my bots and the redbot I host for my own server for music will be made unusable when slash commands are forced in
Discord is now requiring that all verified bots convert to use slash commands instead of the text-based commands Red currently uses. As Red is intended to be a private, selfhosted bot, we do not support verified (public) instances of Red. 3.5 will contain an update to Red's underlying library to make slash support easier for 3rd party cogs, however there are no (current) plans to modify any core commands to be slash by default.
That's from the ?redslash command in the Red server, and should explain everything you need to know about slash commands for red. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask in the #support channel of that server.
