This is a unique subtype and has echoes of relation to primary vs secondary text.

Some Glosses are just quoted text of another source (that are perhaps themselves a Gloss, other secondary text, or even primary text).

In these scenarios it would be nice to specify this quotation relationship and maintain a specific relationship between the Gloss and the quoted source. The Witness maintains the source of why the Gloss was created. The Gloss itself would need to point to the outside source the text was pulled from, which I think we can do with a simple pointer Annotation between the Gloss and this other source or sources.
