A lot of people want this from what I've heard, mainly to make laser beams and actual guns far easier. With the option to adjust width, height, and length respectively. This can include many of the existing options from projectile parts such as damage type, damage, knockback, angle spread, and square or circular hitbox, but act as an instantaneous hitscan as opposed to taking time to travel. Additionally, the ability to see visible width and height when editing will be most welcome, as working out damage radius on projectiles built for AoE is a chore.
This will be far easier to work with for many events and attacks such as beams or custom guns, and perhaps even projectiles. I have no idea how easy some of these options will be to implement in a functioning order, but it will be used widely among people who enjoy making attacks that do not include projectile outfits.
