Boost Note 1.50.4 Web App
Windows 10

See discussion: #1236

Issue

There is currently no way to make a local backup of a user space in Boost Note Web App. It's a bit worrying from a security point of view.

Expectation

To implement an Export feature to save my full storage, or some of my folders, on my system.

Since I understood the development of Boost Note Next-local, thanks to Komediruzecki, I would like to know if an export feature to save my data on the Web App is on your roadmap?

I plan on using the functionality of Boost Note Online, and I would like to have an easy way to save my data. Because these two projects co-exist, one local, vs one online, I wonder if my request is conciliable? Thank you.

We'd like to provide but we don't have a plan yet. Currently, we're focusing on performance and 3rd party app integration so the app itself becomes useful enough for most of developer teams.

Because these two projects co-exist, one local, vs one online, I wonder if my request is conciliable?

Could be possible one day but we need more time. The reason why we split is both apps have different goals. So we'd like to focus on ideal solutions for each app. Once they becomes mature enough, we will come back this issue and try to provide integrated ecosystem for both apps.

Thank you for the clarification. I guess that I will refrain from making too many feature requests, and focusing only on incomplete features, or bugs, from now on. When I was looking for a robust online markdown editor to take personal and code notes, I found Boost Note, and your nifty import feature for big name companies gave me the impression that you were looking for more exposure (possibly not only for developers). Then I was puzzled because several of my Google search for missing features, returned with your legacy app. I can understand better your priorities now. Anyhow, thanks again for providing this great app that I enjoy using.
