Static QR code for Export Coordination Setup #6353
Comments
The Share option generates a txt file that can then be used to import. |
How do you import that text file into SeedSigner (or Jade)? |
hmm, can you throw file contents into QR encoder to get a qr image? will seedsigner import it? i dunno |
When using a stateless signer like SeedSigner in a multisig setup, it's good security to import the multisig descriptor from a printout to avoid trusting the multisig coordinator. I want to use a QR that was generated during wallet setup to avoid zero-day attacks on the coordinator.
Bluewallet presents an animated QR code which requires the user to screen record. Many normies might not know how to screen record.
It's easier to screenshot and print.
Sparrow has a PDF export of the multisig descriptor that is a large QR code that can be printed or used as a screenshot on a mobile phone.
