Hello. This is an idea I had to modify some units. Initially I was thinking of this especially for naval units. Then, looking at the battle simulator, I thought that it would also be a possible addition for aviation units.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how it could be done.
I just thought that a change like this might be useful for the boarding and shelling phases of naval battles, as well as for the manoeuvring and dogfights phases of air battles.
What do you think? I was thinking of a sheet like this to solve a small problem with the current battle simulator: troop embarkation. When you see naval battles or landing phases, it's always put that non-naval troops can have an effect.
During boarding or shelling phases, for example, melee units are the most effective. And during shelling phases, we see that machinery and ranged units are the most effective.
Using this system (or at least a system with a form organized like this one) would solve the problem by de facto assigning a certain number of other units to naval units. Machinery units for shelling phases, melee units and ranged units for boarding and shelling phases, for example.
I thought this system would be beneficial to naval and air force units at least, given that in the types of battles in which they participate, some units prevail over others.
As for example in naval battles with phases of shelling and phases of boarding: in the first it is the machinery and ranged units that prevail, while in the second it is the melee units.
Thus, a naval unit could automatically carry other units, Machinery, Melees or Ranged,
Of course this system would not be used for "all" naval or aviation units. It would be restricted to the larger units... for the aviation units, because the naval units, other than if you want to use the equivalent of small attack boats... it seems logical to me that, They use this system to be able to provide useful units during the boarding and shelling phases.
In such a system, one could even create "colossal" units, rare and therefore expensive, for example the equivalent of aircraft carriers with a naval unit that would have small aviation units in its crews. Or giant aviation units also carrying small aviation units. They could also use this system with armored units, which could be equipped with machines to fight remotely during field battles, etc... Well, I’m probably exaggerating for the armored units, but I think it would be interesting as a system on the aviation and naval units, which would then automatically have a "crew" serving during the phases of shelling and boarding.
It’s a simple idea that I have in mind and that I suggest... and concretely I do not know how it could be applied or programmed, but I thought it could be appreciated for the Battle Simulator and the Military Forces.
