Feature Request: Nicknames

Another feature request, the ability to add global nicknames to players. For example the command /nick is able to set a coloured nickname that will be displayed across all chats.

The Bungee Disply Name plugin is for 1.12 only. I need a /nick BungeeChat compatible plugin for 1.8.

Bungee is pretty version agnostic. So you should be fine using a 1.12 bungee and that plugin with your 1.8 server.

The plugin does not work at all just tested with Bungeecord version git:BungeeCord-Bootstrap:1.12-SNAPSHOT:968916c:1316 and the plugin load but when attempt to do /nick or nick in console it does nothing no errors or said nothing ingame

You are probably missing permissions. Try asking on the plugin thread for help.

i mean doing it console dont require a permission node and also i did look source code https://github.com/Zambosoe/BungeeDisplayName/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=hasPermission&type= and i did had the right permission since on the plugin page is outdated even tried what it said on there further more on the plugin page it said that it's DISCONTINUED

Make sure you’re using the %displayname% or %fullname% placeholder

unfortunately there is none i had already done my research there only 1 option to get nick working and is to remove bungeechat

If your referring to this https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/nicknamer-bungee-synchronizer.8964/ then i cannot use it because it's only spigot/bukkit i also have Sponge which does not work on sponge since it's different api

.-. this plugin is only for backend servers and use Mysql for bungeecord which will not work for servers who are on sponge this plugin it's not really bungeecord plugin since it's not installed on bungeecord
