Hi,

when using MacBook closed and connected to an external Monitor. Mac will toggle every time to dark mode when waking up from standby. (Auto Adjust ist check marked) Maybe the sensor will not get any lights.

Nice Work by the way!
thanks

Thanks!

Sounds like an interesting bug to solve, but it'll be hard for me to debug this. I'm currently thinking about connecting my mac to a TV or something, I'll give that a try sometime.

The next release (that's going to appear in a matter of minutes) will not solve this problem. If this is really annoying you, I guess you just have to turn of the Auto Adjust option for now 😢

Alright! The bug appears only when Mac is in closed situation and you are working with ext. keyboard, mouse and monitor.

In your case,

  1. does the external monitor lower the brightness when the Mac is closed?
  2. what would you define as the expected behavior? Is it dark mode matching the external monitor?

  1. No, but it is seted lower as on the mac.
  2. Yes is matching good. But I think the main fault here are the light sensors on the mac, by waking the computer up, sensors will sent signals for a dark environment but it isn't - the computer is only in closed position so dark mode will be toggled on.

Sorry for my bad english

Just a note to myself (or whoever would like to investigate and come up with a good solution):
