How can I only download one of them? They are identical images, one just has "media" in the name and one has "post" in the name

This has been discussed in some issue previously. Essentially this is being done because there isn't a definitive proof that post and media are always identical. So far no one done any tests to prove that it is safe to ignore one or another.
