Describe the bug

After December feature drop, home screen app animation is lost. Apps now quickly snap closed instead of fading back into the app icon.

Steps to reproduce

Open any app. Swipe closed (gesture animation). Animation quickly snaps closed. No longer fading.

Does the issue also occur with other 3rd-party launchers?

Problem doesn't occur with other launchers

Other 3rd-party launcher(s) tested
